Anyone attend PS 148 or 149 1948-52?

Hello I just joined (with my Dad...a Northern Blvd Boy). Incredible to hear his stories sparked by the memories shared here.

He just asked if anyone remembers Juice?

I was a catholic school girl myself but my husband, Don was a student there.
Correction on your spelling of "Juice"...It was spelled Joost and was run by a man named, Henry Joost.  That place had the greatest thick shakes I have ever tasted, served from those stainless steel shakers, ice cold.
I met my husband in that ice cream parlor and this August we will be married 60 years !!!!!
Great memories....wonderful times growing up in the Heights .
