I like the food here very much and think they should do a dinner service as well....maybe put some candles on the table an serve some good wine/beers.  Last time I was there, they also had bought the front tables to the back but I think they were having some sort of party in the back and needed an extra table or two. Just guessing.

I've lived here for 9 years and always thought El Rico Tinto was simply a bakery.  I doubt anyone walking by would think any differently.

Well, you got your wish because I was eating in there tonight and talking to the owner, found out they are indeed applying for a liquor license and want to expand into a later dinner service. I'm sure whatever they do will be just as good as what they have going on in the day.

I actually started eating there a while back because whenever I walked by, the food people were eating always looked good. I was blown away when I finally did eat there....

They might not do dinner business because they don't have a beer/wine license, but they serve food that wants to be consumed with beer or wine.

I have always been surprised by how good the dinners have been.

we've been enjoying their food for dinner for four or so years now. they didn't exist nine years ago -- it was still Carollo Bakery back then.

You mean you eat in for dinner at El Rico Tinto? They always seem empty by 6:30 or 7:00? You eat dinner early?

eat in or get delivery (which they do until eight). i can eat at seven. or ten, or later, depending on the mood. i dunno, it's looked like a restaurant to me ever since they added the tables. but others' results may vary.

El Rico Tinto has very good food and I don't understand why they don't seem to do any business later in the day. And what's with the tables moving in and out of the front section? With no tables there, the place looks half closed or something when you walk by. For a while it looked like they were trying to have an early dinner crowd, but now it looks like they gave up on that.

It was jammed at dinner time the last couple times I was there.
