Had a great evening tonight on a mini pizza crawl. Chimi Pizza (84/Northern) is a Dominican-style pizza place. Some interesting toppings like chimi, yaroa, mofongo. Crust was good! Then we went to Los Amigos (82-02 Northern). It's run by a Mexican dude who daylights at the Armani restaurant (high end Italian). The pizza IS GREAT. Cracker thin crust. Great tastes. Nice guy. It's in the rear of a bodega.

Add these to Queensboro's pizza and you've got a REALLY interesting pizza crawl going.

There was a post about Los Amigos a little while back. One of the JHL members reposted it from a post on JH families Yahoo group. I haven't had a chance to try it yet, so thanks for the reminder and the thumbs up!

It's absolutely delicious. They have things other than pizza but why bother when the pizza is so good?

Ordered five pies for a party yesterday. Was at a party last weekend where they ordered a whole bunch of different pies from los amigos. I would say arguably the best pizza in the neighborhood. I think my guests at yesterday‘s party felt it was better than Sac’s.  Good quality ingredients and the thing that makes it mostly unique is that paper thin crispy crust. Fold it, and it still probably isn’t as wide as a regular slice.

I would say definitely worth a try. Don’t let the fact it’s in the back of a nondescript bodega throw you off!  Also, the pizza place is owned by local Jackson Heights parents. Let’s support our own!

Just tried Los Amigos on a whim, and definitely the best pizza I've had in a long time. That super thin crust is great! Add to the fact that it's kind of charming: there is a single table by the stand in the back, and a really friendly nice guy manning the place who seemed genuinely thrilled to see that I liked it - I'll be back! I was pleased that they're delivering too, and took the flyer.

I also just went today. OMG. Paying it forward to this thread, because I never would of heard of it. Hope he gets lots of business. I have been in this neighborhood for a year and a half and it’s hands down the best thing I have eaten here in Jh

Gotta put in another good word for Los Amigos pizza.  The guy who runs the pizza oven is super nice, and the pizzas are INCREDIBLE!  The crust is uncannily thin and crispy and the topping combinations are inspired.  I'd skip the margarita and go for the Al Pastor, Hawaiian, or Avocado Pepperoni.  Delivery is fast, as is take out.  It's cash only, so bring your greenbacks.  For a standard slice or pie, Sac's is undoubtedly a great option, but these cracker-thin pizzas are a totally different experience and, if you're like me, an experience you'll suddenly find yourself craving almost daily.  Support them, if not for your taste buds' sake, but also to keep independent, affordable innovation alive and well in JH!

That is quite an endorsement. I think I’ll have to make a point of going now.

I can confirm Los Amigos is delicious. I haven't been in person yet, but I've ordered twice and it's truly excellent. Cracker thin crust, tangy sauce, fresh and tasty toppings. Really top-notch and a great addition to the neighborhood!

Thanks all for posting about Los Amigos.
The pizza is fantastic. We tried plain, sausage and vegetarian with crumbled feta. Can't wait to go back for the al pastor...yes- pizza!

My friend and I really enjoyed chatting with los amigos too. He works at a midtown pizza place and his boss has supported him bringing the winning recipe and service out here.

Also, I have to add how thrilled I was inside to nonchalantly steer a friend into this bodega and promise and make good on a real Queens find.

Best of luck for great growth to these guys!!
