As far as I can tell, they do not sell spam sandwiches.

The bahn mi at Addictive are seriously next level.  Since moving to JH from Los Angeles eleven years ago, I've searched the boroughs for a good bahn mi.  There was a place in Chinatown about eight years ago that was pretty good, but it closed down.  Pho Bac is pretty good for pho and pork chops, but their bahn mi are abysmal.  Thai Son is convenient but mediocre all around.  JoJu in Elmhurst is disappointing at best.  Bun-ker has a half-decent bahn mi (and a killer pho, and some legit entrees), if you're willing to schlep out to an industrial wasteland in Ridgewood and stand outside for an hour.  It's been pretty grim on the vietnamese sandwich scene.  But...

ADDICTIVE'S BAHN MI ARE THE REAL DEAL.  The bread is perfect--crisp and crunchy on the outside, soft and pillowy on the inside.  I've tried the original and the chicken so far.  The filling hits all the notes--spicy, sweet, salty, sour, umami.  The pickles are crunchy and toothsome, there's just the right amount of spice...the sandwiches are filling and hearty, but also clean and crisp and leave you feeling sated but not logy.

The beer selection is fun, and pairs well with the sandwiches (my partner and I tried the Sierra Nevada Tropical IPA and a German white beer I can't recall--both were delicious).  If they did take out, I'd probably pick one up on the way home more than once a week.  Even so, I'll be back often.  Sorry for the full-throated rave, but I'm legitimately bowled over that New York City, let alone Jackson Heights, has a fantastic bahn mi place.  And it's within walking distance!  Super psyched.

How's the banh mi compared to Joju? The location is definitely better for me since Joju is pretty far down south.

Spam would be unwanted, random junk mail or ads--this qualifies as a conversation between a business and its customers.

There were EIGHT threads at one point about this same business. It was hard to search some other topics because every other topic was about Addictive.
I don't have anything against this business, I just think it would be nice if every new item/event/promotion is under  ONE topic. I really don't see what is the problem with my complain? I get that you patronize this business, and that's ok but this is forum and it should have some rules.

If every business open new topic about everything that is happening, this forum would be unreadable!

I leave that up to the moderators to control/consolidate. I still don't think this would properly be called "spam". And I hardly think it has been hard to find other topics because this business has been dominating the board. Kind of an exaggeration, I think.

Ed--? Snarky remark in response to my comment meaning exactly what? I just offered an opinion that the posts by Addictive are not "spam," but merely their attempt to communicate with people who are posting here because they are patrons of the business. I think there is a big difference between that and spam. But thanks for your insight.

Not in response to your comment. I, too, think that Patrick and Francisco are a positive feature in this neighborhood AND on this website.
