handyman needed
« on: October 15, 2008, 06:33:56 PM »
I need a handyman to put up curtain rods and tiebacks, and hang pictures on my cement walls.  I don't have the drill and appropriate bits to do it and don't want to pay an arm and leg for something that I know is relatively easy.  I am new to Terrace View apartments on 79th St and 34th Ave.

Hi Migrom,

Did you get someone yet?    If not let me know because I know someone who is very good and very detailed.

No I haven't and time is of an essence.  Could you post or send me the info.

Hi Migrom,

See your personal messages.  The person I'm recommending is my partner Patrick.  He is retired and wants to do something part time.  He is extremely handy and has redone our entire apartment ( Base floor moldings, Crown moldings, sanded floors, installed new kitchen cabinets, tiling).  He has also completely redone the master bathroom.  He is a certified plumbers assistant ( something he  studied for on the side and passed with flying colors).

If anyone knows of someone who could do this kind of work, I'd appreciate the referral.  Thanks.

I'm curious how it worked out too.  We always have a task or two for a handyman, but I've had no luck finding one!
