Need a home for a cat
« on: April 08, 2017, 12:08:55 PM »
My long time neighbor, Judy S. from Jackson Heights Southridge coop sec. 2 recently passed away and left her cat. I now need to find a home for a all black, 11 year old cat, diabetic (needs insulin twice a day) cat. I know, I know, he has three strikes against him but I have to try. On the plus side the cat is extremely east to give an injection to, and he is very mellow and doesn't seem to jump up on counters or furniture. The son of the woman is willing to reimburse the adopter for the cost of the insulin.

I cannot take the cat I have too many cats and the son lives out of state with dogs. If he isn't adopted he will probably have to be put to sleep, which isn't the worse thing for an older cat, but again I want to try. He would be a great companion for an older person or even in a nursing home.

Please reply her or PM me and I will give you my contact info.

What a sad situation. The son cannot take the cat in? My house is full but try reaching out to ozanamhall.org. They are a great pet-friendly nursing home. Perhaps they can take the kitty in.
