bernie sanders in jackson heights today

I saw him.  He went inside jahns to eat.  A huge crowd gathered.  Lots of secret police.

I only got one pic.  My phone ended up dying.  I was waiting for my daughters bus when all these cars pulled up and I knew right away it was the secret service.  I crossed right over with my nosy little self.  Then my daughters bus came and she asked me who was here.  Whos that?  Lol so i told her hes gonna be running for president.  We had already waited for about a half hour outside jahn's..  My 7 year old grew impatient.  Im gonna punch bernie sanders in the face! She said.  My the time i covered her mouth....everyone had heard her....including some of the secret service guys.  I was so embarrassed!


Why would he go to roosevelt?  Its so ugly up there.

Great photos.  I was so disappointed that I didn't get to see Senator Sanders.  I was in the area but kept missing him.

he actually ate-guess he has no public eating phobia-unlike ms. hillary.  i miss everything, i was nowhere near jahns yesterday

Despite his recent visit to our hood, Jackson Heights predominately voted for Hillary. This link provides an interesting break down to how NYC voted, with results shown literally street by street.

I have to wonder if that's because, like me, if you had changed your party affiliation in the last year, the NY Democratic Party did NOT update the rolls rendering one's vote uncounted as a provisional/affidavit ballot. Until the same group that decided to not put you on the party roster (because you might vote for Bernie) decides that your vote should be counted.

I'm not affiliated with any party.  I haven't voted since bill Clinton became president.  I don't believe votes really count.  I think the winner is already chosen beforehand.  They plan everything. This country has one of the most corrupt governments in the world.

I wish we would go to the Australian model where you have to vote- or you pay a substantial fine. They do make
it easier BUT people vote unlike alot of the United States citizenry. They still complain about politicians but not
the voting process.

I voted in the morning around 9am at Renaissance and there was no line whatsoever.  It was super quiet.  It was kind of sad.  I hope it picked up over the course of the day.  Lots of people fought for the right to vote.  I've seen lines at the sneaker store on 82nd even earlier than this.
