Queens World Film Festival

The 6th Annual QWFF returns to the P.S 69 (Jackson Heights),Museum of the Moving Image (Astoria),  Secret Theatre (LIC), and the All Saints Episcopal Church (Sunnyside) March 15 - 20 2016. We are screening 142 films from 25 nations. We will screen narrative, documentaries, LGBTQ, animated films and we are adding a new category: Family Films. Join us for exciting films from around the world and around the corner!

There are a few events in Jackson Heights of which I am proud. I am a life-long resident of Jackson Heights and this event tops the list. What better way to learn of the cultures of the people in this neighborhood, who speak 167 languages, and celebrate cultural diversity than by showing films from over 20 countries of the world. The other side of this coin shares the Queens genre by showing the films of the best filmmakers who live in Queens. We see the best possible of both worlds right here. BRAVO QWFF.

Continuing today. This is another one of those special local events that are so rewarding to support in addition to
being quality programming. You don't want to miss some of todays offerings at PS69 and the finale tonight at
Museum of the Moving Image.
