Who remembers???
« on: January 04, 2016, 12:05:11 PM »

Who remembers the club Yesterdays on 74th St and 37th Avenue? Late 60's me and my best friend Maureen would go on weekends. They didnt serve alcohol and had great bands playing there. I met my sons father there. He was a keyboard player. What great memories.

I remember the crowds outside--I was a little too young to get in.  Can you imagine something like that today.

Not in the NIMBY era. Fun and frolic are meant for other people.

before my time, but i do recall going to Castle Heights for shows in the early and mid 90s.

Heard about Castle Heights. Man, wouldn't it be awesome to have a bona fide rock venue in the borough of Queens. Does anyone have any pictures of Yesterdays or Castle Heights? I would love to see them.

There's a Facebook group called "did you grow up in Jackson Heights, Astoria..." I bet if you join that group you will find lots of photos.
