Remember Rajah's Candy Store

Question- why was the candy store across from PS 69 starting in about 1961 called Rajah's? Was the owner named Rajah?   I'm pretty good with JH history but I'm blanking on this one.  Thanks

I thought it was because his name was Rajah.  The other candy store was called Molly's and Ollie's" so maybe the practice was to name them after the owner.

Definitely was.  It was still there in the early 80s, then eventually become City Coffee which it is now.
