I just found out yesterday the victim was a friend of a close friend.  He did not survive.    A good local kid who was an EMT. May he rest in peace.

Btw, there was unfortunately a young EMT from Jackson Heights who died about a week ago, but he was not the victim of a crime.  It would be strangely coincidental if two young EMT's from JH had died this week (one a crime victim and the other not) but I guess anything is possible.

Shelby, Omar was the victim of the shooting.  It's the same person/story.  He went to Mcclancy HS with a few of my friends.

No, I'm quite sure he was not the victim of a crime.  I have inside info on this one. However, I do not want to post further on this thread without getting permission from the person I know who was his close friend.

I know who Omar was.  He was not a victim of a crime.  He died in his sleep.  I know many people who were very close to him.  We came across each other throughout the years.  Never got to know him too well.  He was on my Facebook.

Rip Omar.
