The Queens Memory Project is "a dynamic testament of collective memory for the residents of Queens."

They've been making the rounds to libraries around Queens to gather material for their archive....  "Share your memories of Queens and get your family photos digitized for free. The Queens Memory team will scan your photographs, postcards and other memorabilia and save them to a thumb drive that you can take home. Bring your materials and stories and expect to learn something new about your neighborhood!"  Their next event is today, Sunday, 10/18, at the Flushing Library.  Here's the schedule of other upcoming events.
