Anybody from 34-58 90 street jackson Heights in the 1950- 1960 era

Lived in Jackson Heights from 1940-1964
Went to PS 149 and then to PS 148
Then to Newtown High School
Played sandlot ball with the Jackson Heights Dukes
Hung out at Tune timers and the 85 club on 85th street and Northern Blvd
Loved the Heights in the 1950's.
Nice people good memories

 My husband Don came from 89th between 32nd & 31st avenues....and went to 148 too.   He too played on the Dukes and we both hung out in the Tune Timers and were involved in alot of early morning fist fights in the Toddle House (LOL)   Maybe you knew each other???

The Tune Timers on Northern Blvd. had  Monday Night jam sessions where the greats of jazz from Manhattan would sit in and jam in this  Jackson Heights club
You could enjoy the sounds of  Eddie Costa, Kai Winding Smithy, Dizzy and many more great artists for a price of a drink
Still remember  Moonlight in Vermont featuring a guitar great

As you can see Johnny, Smith the guitar legend, was there on this Monday night
(Moonlight in Vermont}
Johnny Smith passed away in Colorado Springs last year at 90.
