Jackson Heights Life

After work today I caught a guy positioned underneath the stairwell at 74th St looking up through the metal mesh at all the people coming down.  While I was waiting at the bottom of the stairs for my husband, I stared at the guy for a good minute - he kept deliberately looking up as people came down, so definitely a peeper.  Then he saw me and I gave him the evil eye.  That didn't faze him and he went back to peeping.  Be forewarned!  I've also seen this happen at the E/F/R platform where the stairs have the metal mesh inserts. 

Unfortunately this has become the norm. I have two daughters and since age 12 or so we have had to deal with perverts of some sort. One time my husband actually became physical with one disgusting individual. It is really prevalent on Roosevelt where the men whistle and cat call. I have seen grown men near travers park do a full head turn and stare at my child's behind.  Each and every time I call them out on it and they comment how she looks older. I frankly don't think age matters. It is all about respect.

In this situation I think it is acceptable to call 911, rather than 311
This is not a "lifestyle issue"
This guy is actively sexually harassing and is threatening.
