Need a handyman and a house cleaner-new to area

We are new to the area and looking for a handyman to do some repair work and also cosmetic work around the house.  Mostly light jobs such as painting and hanging curtains. 

We are also looking for a weekly cleaner to clean our 3 bedroom 2.5 bath home.  I keep it clean and tidy, so this would mostly be bathroom cleaning and light dusting.  Have products in the home to use.  Once a week is preferred.

I recommend my cleaning lady.  She lives in the neighborhood, is very reliable and I trust her alone in my apt.  I can send you her details privately

I am also looking for a cleaning lady. Could someone advise about hourly rate? I never had one in the US and have no idea what the rates are? Every advice is welcomed :)

James also goes by Dean. He did very poor work for me and refused to take responsibility.
