Recommendations for a buyer's agent in JH?

Hi everyone!
I used to live (rent) in Jackson Heights, and after a few years in Astoria, I am interested in purchasing an apartment in Jackson Heights. I was wondering if any residents have personal recommendations for a helpful, experienced buyer's agent that is trustworthy and has true knowledge of Jackson Heights real estate. I look forward to receiving recommendations, and moving back to the neighborhood!

My boyfriend and I worked bought through MPC properties which does not work with other realtors, but for months before that we worked with Vernalie Panchame of Rainbow Realty (646-229-6052). She lives in the neighborhood and we felt comfortable with her knowledge of the neighborhood and buildings. She is also a pleasant, stress free person which makes it that much easier to spend lots of time with her. Good luck!

Dan Karatzas at Beaudoin Realty would be a good choice for such.  A pretty smart guy with a laid back approach, he knows the neighborhood front and back.  He even wrote a book on JH's history and its housing stock (which can be perused at Espresso 77).

I didn't have a buyer's agent, but I was so impressed with Janine McQueenie at Douglas Elliman, my seller's agent, who was so organized, smart and helpful. We did everything via email. She's completely web-savvy! But also lives in the neighborhood and knows it well. If I were on the hunt again I would call her first thing.

Chris Georgakopoulus (spelling?), Nu Place Realty. She knew the buildings, board requirements, and helped us find the right building for our budget and financial temperament.

We've used Vladamir Simhkovich http://www.jacksonheightsproperties.com.  He knows Jackson Heights very well and knows of properties that might be for sale before they hit the market.  We bought our first place in JH through him and sold it through him without listing it.  He matched us well with the right buyer.
