We ordered for the first time this weekend and the food was good.  We are a huge fan of the Young Chow fried rice and the Beef Chow ho fun.  Ordered on Sat and it was that good, we ordered again on Sunday.  Can't wait to try the calamari with salt and green peppers next.

Just to add to the chorus of approval for this place. We tried their recommended dishes that is the cucumber, the shredded fish and the Young Chow rice and something else that I can't recall. We liked all the dishes-they were unlike most of the take out places certainly better than our local place. We will definitely try them again. BTW the delivery time was just as good as the food.

Since I'm a total fanboy for this place, I will say I ordered from them last night. Even their ordinary stuff, like chicken & broccoli is better than your average Northern Blvd place.
I also got the Kung Pao chicken, which was very spicy & really good. I'm praying this place makes it.

I've found it hit and miss, but that could just be my preferences. I tried the shredded potato dish, and it was very vinegary and seemed raw. I put it aside and ate the other food I ordered. I might try putting it in a frying pan and cooking it longer. Was too tired last night to bother.

Yes, I agree, and I did try frying it. It didn't help that much. I'll skip getting it again.

On another note, the last time I ordered the owner did the delivery, and I found out it's the same guy who ran the Meatlover's BBQ place. Glad to see he's still in business, and a better business IMO.

A welcomed addition to the neighborhood; much appreciated departure from the usual greasy fare one expects from "hole-in-wall" operations commonly found in the hood.  At least in a pinch, I won't have to be deterred by the commute to Flushing when I get the craving.

Ok.  You've convinced me to try take out from this place.  I'm going to order cucumber in sesame oil but I have no idea what to expect.  Is it like a salad?  Is it raw or cooked?  It will certainly be a surprise.  And I'm getting BBQ ribs.  I hardly eat meat any more but sometimes I just had to give in to this.  And I have noooo idea what Young Chow fried rice is at all.  But I'm getting it.  Wish me luck.  Full report after dinner.

This food was so disappointing.  WOW.  My BBQ ribs were stringy and tough like they were over cooked and sitting around and reheated.  My spicy bean curd entrĂ©e was not spicy -- AT ALL -- and if you eat tofu, you know when you overcook it, the inside collapses and the outside is tough.  So second dish sucked.  The cucumber with sesame oil... at this point, I didn't really care.   I mean it's cucumber for god's sake.

Maybe it was an off night but I don't even know if I would give this place a second chance.   :'(

Nah, don't cry Superclam.  I told friends about the place (before my food came!) and I'll be curious to hear what they think when they get around to checking it out.   I guess that makes me a bad friend cause I'll let them without telling them how much I didn't like my food.  ;D

I cry very easily. I'm watching Family Guy right now and weeping like a small child.

I'm sorry you didn't like the place. I haven't tried the tofu; I'm not a big fan. I really liked the ribs when I had them, maybe it's an off night, or maybe you and I just have different tastes.

For me, I find it a refreshing change from Ming Wok and similar places on Northern.

My dinner arrived cold tonight, and I loved it.   Cold sauteed cabbage in hot and sour sauce (#2), cold five flavor sliced beef (#10), and cold Szechuan style sesame noodles (#37).... perfect for the weather, but spicy enough to make me sweat anyway!
