The Biannual Get Together of JHLife

It's the second time the Jackson Heights Lifers are gathering.   Anyone who feels like getting out for drink or bite to eat, meeting some neighbors or just checking out a new place... come on out.  There should be no confusion this time which means no one should be sitting alone at the bar while the rest of us yuck it up at a table.  (NYCNative we expect you to find us this time!)
 
Friday
June 27th
7pm

MYSTIC PLANET in the back yard. Unless it's raining, then we'll meet inside.

Trust me, we'll still be able to find each other.  Since this place has NO business to speak of, we might be the only ones there. 

Who's in??????

You're right Jeannette: no age discrimination!  Mystic Planet is on Northern between 85th/84th.  It looks like a club but inside is an adorable place with a great back yard seating area.  They have a few of each: salads, pasta, salmon, chicken, steak... a small menu but I think there's something for everyone (last week they had brocolli soup).  Food was good.  No liquor license so only wine, beer, soda etc.  There's another thread under Restaurants about the place.

Ugh.  I used to have a social life!

The little one goes down for the night at 7PM.  I doubt I'll be able to sneak out.

Is "the little one" a human baby or the hairy little baby in your avatar?  You can't bring the hairy one put you can bring the human if you want to pop in for a quickie "hello".  Remember: no age discrimination!

Manager said they've been waiting forever for the license.  They had a decent Chianti by the glass.

I wish the dog would go to sleep at 7PM.  She's up at all hours and still wakes me up at 5:30AM wanting to play.

My wife may attend.  I usually watch the baby on Fridays anyway so I can get my SciFi channel fix.

My dog does the same except instead of wanting to play, he wants to be petted.  Then he goes back to sleep! 

At least 1 representative from your family may attend.  Tell her, no pressure.  Some people eat but don't drink, some do the opposite.  I do both!  It's informal.

I understand, I have 2 Maltese myself, Lambo and Herculez.  I have 2 words for you...Mother-in-Laws (yes that's 1 word!!  ;) ) and Nyquil... :laugh:
