Deli at 79th St and 37th Ave

Does anyone know what is going into this space?  Is it the same deli, just with renovations?

despite the traditional "renovations" signs, I seriously doubt they're reopening.

they sold all their non perishables -- paper towels, trash bags and such -- at deep discounts in their last two weeks there, and a lot of the basic infrastructure stuff one might keep even after renovations was tossed into dumpsters.

no construction signage though.....

I asked while they were selling everything...they told me they were re-opening as a "Manhattan style" deli.

That's a great location for something like that.  Fingers crossed.  I never once was ever inspired to go into the existing/previous deli in that location as it always looked from the outside like they only had some combination of potato chips, cat food and paper towels.

The work on the Building Permit includes Kitchen and ducting.

We'll wait and see.
