We looked in the window a few days ago and the dining area is demolished. That part really needed some renovation
but if you owned this IHOP business and were planning to keep it, this is a really, really long time to be closed losing
a tremendous amount of customer loyalty. Strongly suspect, it's being sold/been sold to someone else which is kinda sad.

Wish they'd put something else there. Something amazing.

there were rumbles a while back about a Denny's opening somewhere on northern, and that would make sense for that space. the space doesn't look to have been cleaned up at all since the fire.

I went to this modern restaurant in LA where they used an old IHOP. It was cool.

That would be so welcome. A cool restaurant that has all the stuff that is often requested here. This spot has a fairly
large parking lot too in addition to being 3-4 blocks from a major subway station. Work with the template of the success of Cannelles patisserie and make quality goods at this neighborhoods wallet size. Range of drinks, good ambience and
of course, good eats.

Maybe Thomas Keller could be persuaded to open a retail outlet and take out window :)

Workers have been fixing the exterior last few days...and the IHOP sign is still in place so maybe they
were waiting for an insurance check to rebuild?
