Neighborhood Chat / Acupuncture and Massage
« on: March 10, 2008, 04:53:35 PM »
I think I found this person here on this site but can't remember which thread.  Any way, today I made an appointment to see Wan M. Woo.  She's an Acupuncturist over on 77th St. just past Broadway.  She was good.  I usually go to someone out in Port Washington, Long Island.  That person costs more but also takes more time with you. So all in all, the prices were equal.  I thought Wan was professional and experienced.  And I loved being able to walk there.  Can anyone recommend someone for massage in this area?    I've seen the ad for Latin Masseur and he may be very professional but I'm not sure.  Unless anyone has gone to him and can give a reference I wouldn't feel comfortable going. Thanks.

Restaurants & Food / Healthy Eating in JH

EAT THIS NOT THAT
Got this book at Barnes and Noble over at the Bayside Shopping Mall.  It's great because not only does it list every chain in America with a page devoted to "eat this" and a page to the "not that" of their menu, but it lists holiday food choices, ethnic food choices, supermarket shopping (by brand name etc.)  So now I know what I should eat no matter where I go!!!!   Or mostly, what's the health consequence of what I actually choose to eat.  :2funny:  So, I'm curious, what do u do if you're really trying to eat healthy and you eat locally to support neighborhood restaurants.   What do you order when you're at, say Expresso 77, and the sandwiches are paninis??? High calorie and high fat.  And forget Canelle Patiserrie.  What can you get there if you want to try and eat healthy?  Even with the book, I'm terrible.  And I do get a lot of rotisserie chicken.

Has anyone bought  groceries online from Fresh Direct?  If yes, do they schedule a delivery around your schedule?  Were you happy with the quality of your order?
