Israel and the Democratic Party:
Myths and Realities

Can politicians in the US--including Queens--ever take positions critical of Israel...and survive politically?

The New Visions Democratic Club invites you to join Dan Fleshler, American Jewish peace activist and author of:
" Transforming America's Israel Lobby:  The Limits of its Power and the Potential For Change",
as he examines the impact of Israel  and America's Middle East polices on the Democratic Party and political races.

His conclusions might surprise you!
Discussion to follow.

Date: Tuesday, July 17, 2012
Time: 7:30PM-9:30PM
Place:  Community Methodist Church
Room 7--directly accessed through the entrance on 82nd Street between 35 and 37th Avenues.

The Jackson Heights Chavurah is a gathering of Jews living in or near Jackson Heights that want to build a progressive Jewish community.  We are egalitarian, and welcome everyone who would like to participate in prayer and/or discussion of what it means to be a Jew in 21st century America.

Our next meeting will be on Friday, March 7, 2008 from 7PM-9PM.

We are also planning a Havdalah service followed by a Purim gathering on:
Saturday, March 22, 2008 from 6PM----

Please RSVP for either or both of these gatherings (we need to plan for chairs, etc):
