I'd like to believe there's something I can do to avoid my packages being stolen, but without cameras, doesn't seem like there's much I can do...

Also, forgot to say this in the original post, but the thieves seem to be particular in what they steal. I had a box of nice alfajors completely taken, but a box with regular pantry items (chicken stock, oatmeal) was just opened. Maybe they go for high-price items or things they like to eat.

I saw a fight around 1 pm (?) on Wednesday May 20 (yesterday). It was on 74th St, a little south of 34 Ave, across from IS230.

There was yelling, and a man was sitting on the ground, while another one had him in a (I think) chokehold. He held him for maybe 10 minutes until the police showed up. I assume the man being held was some sort of criminal, because police took him in handcuffs and some people were clapping.

Did anyone else see this? Anyone know what this was all about?

No idea how thieves got inside, or at what time. Probably at night. A neighbor put up a note warning other neighbors, but it continues to happen. There is no security camera, and landlord won't install one.

Someone in my building called police, but I don't think anyone was caught, because packages keep being opened/stolen.

I (and some neighbors) had packages stolen last week from inside my building, and then the thieves came back and opened other boxes on different days. Has anyone else had this happen to them? What did the police and your landlord say?
