Lemon Farm has selection of whole beans. They will also grind the beans on request.

The Colombian supreme is great. Seems popular and reasonably freshly roasted.

The taco game in the neighborhood is getting serious. What are the perfect stops for a taco tour? I've covered pork, beef and seafood. Any additions or substitutions?

Exit subway at 74th then...

1. AL pastor at Coatzingo
2. Beef taco at Beefrria Landia
3. Pulpo or pescado a la plancha at La esquina del camaron

Back on the 7 at 82nd st with smiles and full bellies

This infuriates me. As soon as I found this out, I stopped going to Starbucks. It stifles small business in the neighborhood for the sole purpose of lining the pockets of the landlords.

The Queensboro people have just started selling gift cards. I'd certainly purchase one for STB also if this was an option to help fund the final push.

I walked by on Saturday and saw the door open. I popped my head in and had a quick chat to one of the owners. It looks GREAT! Renovations are pretty much done and he is waiting on some final permits. Hopeful of having them in a month.

I just walked past the Queensboro and peeked through the open back door. The chef Tony saw us and was kind enough to give us a quick tour. What a TERRIFIC space. Lots of work happening so I couldn't see the finished detail but it's a large space with a big bar and open kitchen.

Opening sometime July I think.

Very excited.

Excited to hear Stew. Providing a pathway for training is terrific.

Regarding tipping - I'm not from the US so I would prefer it as it's more similar to other countries I have lived in. But I recognize that it may make some customers feel uncomfortable.
