World War Eleven.
Greetings, JH Lifers. Just in case you missed it, this website will be closing down on December 31st. It's been a great journey, but it is time for this site to walk off into the sunset (or whatever lies on the other side of the BQE). Please see our recent announcement for more information.
Hopefully this is just the beginning of a new chapter in efforts to build community online and in real life. Come join your neighbors at r/jacksonheights or r/queens on Reddit, Jackson Heights 11372 on Facebook, and the venerable JHfamilies group on Google.

Since I have had HD with Time Warner I have to reboot about once a week. Something is wrong with their service. That's Time Warner Cable for you, get Verizon which I have and no complaints so far.
Just after to World Cup game today, half of my channels disappeared--first thing I do is reboot, unplug the cable box and wait.
Actually I live when a 6 year old subway map enthusiast, and he loves the new map. Especially the cover, where there are extra lines with no letters "in case they get more."Those extra lines actually represent the railroads (LIRR and MNCR)
I agree the style is different, but user friendly.
That is a good way of putting it. I believe the term used is blended seniority.yes
I am not on the job(on the 8006 TA list) but have they
stopped hiring new bus operators at your depot? I know they canceled the MTA Bus exam
earlier this year because of the deficit. Is their a hiring freeze going on now at MTA Bus?
Hmm,I wasn't sure since it had the out of service sign. I think you may be right. Good to hear thatThat is good because there will not be a seniority war. The MTA cannot fit two depots in one, just like how I cannot be a boy and a girl at the same time.
LGA Depot isn't going to merge with College Point Depot.
This might be the bus that I see sometimes on my block with an out of service sign,onThat is not the QM22, that is probably a QM24 deadheading from Myrtle Avenue and 73rd Street
the weekends in the evening.
It comes from the eastbound lane on Queens Blvd, left on 45th ave.left on 74st,right on Woodside Ave.left on 75th st and from there it must go to 31st Ave and 77th St? It's an MCI bus and I know
for a fact that there are no express buses at the 74th St/Broadway Bus Terminal.
And it couldn't be going to the LGA Depot on 23th Ave and 85th St, they use the BQE to get
back to the depot.
Thanks for that great article Clearview, are you the same person who posts on Jerry's websiteYes
on the LGA Depot guestbook?
The QM2 is a GREAT resource if you work anywhere near 6th Ave. Coming into town it doesn't run in our area, but coming home it goes down Northern and stops at 82nd and then 85th and I think, 74th. Problem is there were only 4 buses running east. If you missed it, down into the subway. The QM3 is that route. The QM2 is an express bus in Bay Terrace and Whitestone and not in Jackson Heights. There is also the QM22 at 31st Avenue and 77th Street
Thanks, I couldn't quite make out the map.
