If you had a particularly memorable commute the last few days because of the state of our public infrastructure, whether on the 7 or otherwise, please drop me at line at work. could someone please recommend a reasonably-priced custom cabinet maker in the area? We're looking to build some storage space for a child's bedroom, and it's a custom job because of some unusual space requirements.

Hello,

I came across this interactive map -- http://envisioningdevelopment.net/map -- of the city, which shows the number of households in several income groups. Clicking on Jackson Heights, for example, shows median household income was just over $50K in 2006 in JH, less than two-thirds of the citywide median income, and less than one-third of the income on the Upper West Side. An interactive feature also shows what types of rents families in different income groups can afford.

Pretty interesting stuff.

Pets and Animals / Looking to adopt a young dog

hello,

My family and I are looking to adopt a young dog (less than 1 year) and would like to visit a shelter in Queens that does not require a car to get to. Since my kids are 5 and 2, prefer a place that won't be scary for the little one. Any recommendations?
