We've gotten delivery from there only but thought it was good--fresh avocado, slivers of cucumber, etc. in the rolls--and the best local option we've tried so far!

The craving may have passed, but Lemon Farm still has the Van Leeuwen special seasonal Peppermint Stick ice cream!

Does anyone know anything about this new pizza place, opening at Roosevelt and 80th Street? Came across them on instagram  (https://www.instagram.com/mamaspizzacafe/) but can't find much else about them.

Yes! Just ordered from El Rico Tinto last night, and it was as good as ever. Had their delicious tortilla soup--the best, and perfect for a fall night! This place is such a gem.

I ended up going to Ideal Framing in Forest Hills recently and was quite pleased with the care they put into a project.

Yes! While we will still go to our usuals when we specifically want a meat dish, this has become our new favorite spot. That homemade pillowy paneer and generally high level of care with ingredients and preparation really set the food apart. We've gotten it three times now when non-JH people come over and it shows off our neighborhood well!

We love this place! Favorite items are the fish tacos, shrimp quesadilla, chilaquiles, and that perfect cemita. We also just tried the chorizo mac and cheese--decadent and delicious! I admittedly have been hitting the Seamless button a lot since having a baby this summer but just set up my ChowNow account and will switch over. We also have brought our baby a couple times since starting to venture out and appreciate what a relaxed environment it is. Keep up the great work!

I am a big fan of this place and so am rooting for it. If they can get draft beer going I think they could draw a lot more people--a lot of thirsty JH folks with few options for beers on tap who rotate between E77, Queensboro, and UFC, and would love another choice!

The chat is real! I was gonna reheat leftovers last night but caved and got the shrimp quesadilla, and it was so damn good.

How do we get this place the diners it deserves?

Me again. At home sick and just got a cemita burger delivered and HOLY COW was it good. Perfectly medium rare, oaxaca cheese and papalo on top, sesame seed bun. I feel ever more confident in my endorsement of this place.

My little heart wants every small business to flourish, so I know I'm rooting for these guys and may see everything in a rosy light.

Disclaimer aside, I had some rad chilaquiles at Laly's this morning for breakfast. Sunnyside eggs on a high pile of chips with tomatillo sauce, chicken, avocado, cotija cheese, red onion. Added some of their morita hot sauce for a smoky kick. I've also gotten salads and their tortilla soup on other nights. Feel like this place fills a need in the neighborhood for well-executed and satisfying meals that are not super ambitious nor super expensive but still tasty and prepared with fresh ingredients and care.
