I live in Berkeley Towers and can answer any questions you have.
I live in the building which has the gym, which is on 52nd btwn Skillman Ave and 39th Dr.
Not all units have terraces, but yes the building is dog friendly.
Other amenities include: night watchman from 8p-5a, attended office to receive packages, each unit comes with a basement storage unit, bike room, gym, parking (with a very long wait-list, took me 13 years for an outdoor spot), nice outdoor seating in the rear of the building and you are a resident within the primary zone to join Sunnyside Gardens Park (one of only two private parks in NYC).
Let me know what else you would like to know.
Awesome, thank you! So are the different towers different coops, technically? Like you can't use the gym unless you live directly in that tower?
Is it a nice community vibe? I've gotten that sense walking by. Also, have you kept tabs on your property values over the years? I've lived basically across the park for 3 years and can see the neighborhood getting trendier, more fitness options like Blink & yoga studios, little restaurants... I like the upswing, but not being able to sublet if I bought there, I have to think about future options in terms of resale rather than rental... What about turnover? Clearly you've been happy there for a long time! How often do apartments go on the market?
