That's awesome, such a ringing endorsement!
How do the different towers work, are they each a standalone coop or is it all the same complex?

Since others are recommending Astoria places I'll put my vote in for All Pets Vet in Astoria on Ditmars & Steinway.  They've been so awesome to me and my cats.  I took one to a place near an old apartment just for a nail trim and the difference in handling was enough to make me never go anywhere but All Pets and Dr. Hatzi.  I'm in Woodside now and still go back there, and even when I've considered moving to Brooklyn I've wondered "hmmm but how long is the drive to Dr. Hatzi??"

I live in Berkeley Towers and can answer any questions you have.
I live in the building which has the gym, which is on 52nd btwn Skillman Ave and 39th Dr.
Not all units have terraces, but yes the building is dog friendly.
Other amenities include: night watchman from 8p-5a, attended office to receive packages, each unit comes with a basement storage unit, bike room, gym, parking (with a very long wait-list, took me 13 years for an outdoor spot), nice outdoor seating in the rear of the building and you are a resident within the primary zone to join Sunnyside Gardens Park (one of only two private parks in NYC).

Let me know what else you would like to know.

Awesome, thank you! So are the different towers different coops, technically?  Like you can't use the gym unless you live directly in that tower?

Is it a nice community vibe?  I've gotten that sense walking by.  Also, have you kept tabs on your property values over the years?  I've lived basically across the park for 3 years and can see the neighborhood getting trendier, more fitness options like Blink & yoga studios, little restaurants... I like the upswing, but not being able to sublet if I bought there, I have to think about future options in terms of resale rather than rental...  What about turnover?  Clearly you've been happy there for a long time!  How often do apartments go on the market?

Real Estate & Home Improvement / Berkeley Towers - different sections?

Hi,
I've seen a couple people post here about Berkeley Towers on the Woodside/Sunnyside line.  I live close to there now and I'm curious about the complex... been looking at old listings and it looks like there's different building perks among the different towers?  I saw listings for Section 3 that have a gym... but others don't.

I love the terraces and dog-friendly vibe!

Anyone live there and able to share some more info?
