DoB permits do show name of tenant? Really? If so, that is interesting.

@jeffsayyes: If you know the owner, you should ask her to tell the landlord to remove/update the rust-covered deformed metal barrier in front of the compound. It is truly an eyesore. I personally hate going to that stretch because of that ugly barrier.

Real Estate & Home Improvement / Looking for Electrician/Handyman referral
« on: February 01, 2020, 02:25:29 AM »
Hi All. I am installing a new ceiling light fixture but cannot figure out how to fit the new crossbar into the existing opening in the ceiling. Does anyone have an electrician/good handyman that you would refer for this kind of small job? Thanks!

Restaurants & Food / El Patio (81st & Northern Blvd)

I walked by this new restaurant today. It is next to the Jujitsu place and 1 store from Variety bakery. The restaurant looks really nice, and I definitely want to try it out. Just wonder if anyone else has spotted out this new place?
The stretch on Northern Blvd from 80 to 82nd street looks increasingly appealing lately.

Restaurants & Food / Re: The new El Rico Tinto on Northern Blvd

Food is still as amazing as before and tge space is more expansive now. Do come and support them on Northern Blvd btw 73 and 74. Their sign outside is ERT, not the full longform El Rio Tinto, so it is a bit hard to spot.

Hi,

We have an outdoor parking lot opened up. It fits a SUV, but since the car in the adjacent lot is already a SUV, we prefer a smaller 4-seater sedan. Our place is in low 70s and 35th ave. Please send me a text message @201-850-7540 if you're interested.

Best

Thanks @Shelby. Spoke with Martin. I think we have a 2nd interested person too who rented that parking from previous owner.

For anyone else, please send me a private message and it will just go to my email.

Real Estate & Home Improvement / Painting cost estimate

Hi all,

My wife and I just purchased a single home in Jackson Heights. The house is pretty up-to-date and we only plan to repaint the house (about 1350 sq ft each floor for 2 floors). Besides white paint for much of the interior, we already picked out the paint colors for doors, window panes, dining wall and bedrooms.

How much would it normally cost for this sort of paint job? I won't need a paint specialist or full-time contractor who come with premium knowledge, but just someone who is professional and meticulous with painting.

If you or family has used someone in the neighborhood and are happy about their service, please kindly recommend.

Thanks

Thank you. I'll look up the place on Cross Bay Avenue.

Anyone else who has a go-to shop for appliance repair please share.

Hi All,

I have an Espresso machine with built-in bean grinder. The grinder stops working, most likely due to malfunctioning motor. I have tried to call several eletrician/appliance repair shops found on Google, but they all said they do not fix small appliance for households.

Does anyone happen to know someone who could fix my espresso machine?

Much thanks
