You’re right that is the common definition, and also perfectly defines who he was.

Congratulations on your “nuance”.

> It's great that we have words like Nazi so that we can have a clear conscience when we decide to not treat someone like a human being.

We have words like "Nazi" to refer to people that worked in factories that were created for the purpose of killing people based on their ethnicity, like the one were Palij worked, where just under a million people killed.

Neighborhood Chat / Re: Public hearing on 13-story tower on 82nd Street

From the first sentence of the article: "Developers are seeking a controversial zoning change...".

Paragraph 2 starts: "Many residents and civic groups are alarmed by the proposal, which they say would undermine the character of the neighborhood ....".

After a few pretintent but otherwise anodyne factoid paragraphs, we then see "neighborhood critics argue that the building -- which would be 145 feet tall -- would be too big and would overwhelm...".

Later, 'The commissioners raised concerns about the scale of the development....“It’s essentially double the height of the R6B buildings,”' ...

"...could create issues with congestion on the roadways...."

"...developers have shown a “blatant disregard and disrespect toward out community.”...'

And so on, with similar quotes interspersed for the duration of the article.

Doesn't look at all like a developer's press release. Looks like journalism.

Neighborhood Chat / Re: Sling TV
« on: May 30, 2017, 07:07:37 PM »
We use firetv instead of cable, and have a slingtv subscription so we can watch it via the firetv (along w/ netflix and amazon prime).

We have a wifi router in the same room as the firetv, so I can't say how well it would go room-to-room.

We watch shows on SlingTV  only occasionally, maybe 5 times per month or so. It occasionally is glitchy, but usually works pretty well.
