I love the Eagle. I saw Om Shanti Om there twice. Most recently, I saw Jodha Akbar. I'm waiting for Tashan to come out -- it looks like it will be a good one, or at least an extravaganza, which is definitely part of the point of going.
It's most fun to go when a movie has just opened and there is a big crowd. Sometimes I'll go without knowing anything about the movie -- but you can also look on their website (http://www.eaglemovietheater.com/), and then Google the film to find out about it.
The concession sells popcorn and samosas. The bathrooms are not for the faint of heart. The theater itself is fantastic (art deco) and should be (if it isn't) on some historic registry.
