Greetings, JH Lifers. Just in case you missed it, this website will be closing down on December 31st. It's been a great journey, but it is time for this site to walk off into the sunset (or whatever lies on the other side of the BQE). Please see our recent announcement for more information.
Hopefully this is just the beginning of a new chapter in efforts to build community online and in real life. Come join your neighbors at r/jacksonheights or r/queens on Reddit, Jackson Heights 11372 on Facebook, and the venerable JHfamilies group on Google.
This section allows you to view all posts made by this member. Note that you can only see posts made in areas you currently have access to.
fortune cookies are often sources of wisdom.
I complained because I don't want this happening every other Saturday.
sorry, but I won't "just be silent."
you sound very childish when you stamp your feet and say 'just ignore her, she's saying things I don't like.'
Just a pointer on debate.

dssjh, you are ignoring a solution that I offered: they could reroute planes back to their old routes (that do not fly above Jackson Heights).
As to how it affects property values, a comparison with other areas that already suffer with noise is incorrect. You need to compare it with Jackson Heights itself. House prices go down if an area start to have problems that it didn't have before.
Now here's the link for you to file a complaint:

ps. You can complain about the car noise as well! If this doesn't work, you can take the issue to 311, the police etc. There are a few options.
i was awakened on Saturday around six AM by planes.
