My wife and I are in contract on a landmark coop and we will want to do renovations after we close. One contractor suggested that we renovate the bathroom cosmetically by placing new tiles and sheetrock on the tiles and walls already in place. Others have suggested gutting the room. Any thoughts on cosmetic v. gutting?
