Neighborhood Chat / Sophisticated New York Musical Experience in JH
« on: October 24, 2010, 09:21:19 AM »
Each Thursday night at Novo, you can hear the Bethany Wilde Trio live.  I was there last Thursday and thoroughly enjoyed the jazz-inflected standards sung by Bethany with the great accompaniment of piano and base.  Why go to the Oak Room or the Carlyle for overpriced food and drink when you can hear the same kind of music just a short stroll from home?  I have been to the Manhattan hotel rooms and the quality of the music wasn't any better.  And at the Carlyle they serve reheated frozen french fries!  Support your local musicians and have a good time

If you knit, crochet, needlepoint, sew, quilt, or do any other portable craft and would like to meet with like-minded folks, please join us at Novo on Thursday evenings from 6:30 PM to whenever.  At the same time, you can enjoy the jazz-inflected standards of the Bethany Wilde Trio.  I was there last week and they were terrific.  I am an experienced needle person, and can often help people get unstuck if they are having a problem.  So bring your UFOs
(unfinished objects) and get back into the swing of your favorite craft.
