totally public played many a ELM JACK little league and Babe Ruth games on that field. it was about the best ball field around. It was where I discovered I needed glasses when my catcher came out to me in the 6th inning and asked why I was crossing him up on signals?  My response was I did not see him giving me any
baseball before contacts

does any one remember the name of the restaurant/pizza 81st street northern blvd in the early 60s? It was close to Lee's Army and Navy which was on the corner across from 145
