Hi Wallaby yes they re-opened end of last week.  It's not much different than the other site where Blink will be.  Over wrought with equipment, the old ones re-covered and new treadmills and more of them. However, it's the only game in town for now.  I hope the men's room is open for business soon! no sink or place to wash your hands at the end of the work out is no good.  And no door on the men's room either.  The other EFN location was a dump and I have a feeling this will be one in no time. Sad.  Blink hurry up!

Blink on 78th and Roosevelt opens in September, they are owned by Equinox. They have a sales office open now. EFN opened on 86th and Roosevelt. Not much better than the other place they were in. Little AC working, men's room not completed, no sink, no place to wash your hands, the some new equipment, largely the old stuff re-covered.  We do deserve Blink in this hood and so can't wait for its opening!!

When the weather was a bit warmer I heard it. I am sure they are not selling ice cream at 1025pm.  There is a noise ordinance in effect and do not hestitate to call 311 to file a complaint.

I hope Blink is opening, not sure why the open date is being extended. I am at EFN now and they are supposedly moving to a new location in May. This too keeps getting extended. However, the owners/staff tell different members different addresses of where they are moving to. So not sure if they are actually moving or up and closing.  In any event, I am hopeful Blink will open.  I also heard ages ago a NYSC will open up in the new construction site on Northern and 88th. I have no clue what is opening up there.

I used Best Glazing. Did a great job, had my tub glazed and tiles painted for a total of $700. Nice guy, a bit of a challenge to work in the beginning..personality conflict, did a great job and this was 2yrs ago and still looks new!  I would recommend you have your tub etc caulked first. Best Glazing was the only one that would look at the bathtub and tiles first in person, others wanted pictures sent to them.

I am glad too!!  The rates for Blink are about $240 a year.  Soo excited to have a nice, clean and bright gym to go to.

EFN has already started to downsize their current space to get ready to move.  Tenants on the 2nd floor of the EFN current space are moving out as Blink will be taking over the entire 2nd floor. I for one am excited to have Blink. No one at EFN can tell me (a member for 3 years)where exactly they are moving to on 84th-85th street, leads me to wonder if they really are moving.

You do need a shoppers card to obtain the discounts..it's free. One of the perks if you will, if you buy so much you may get a free turkey.  I find overall most of the staff is not friendly and I feel like I am inconviencing them when I am checking out, if they are talking to co-workers, eating or texting.

I am sad too at this news. Blink is owned by Equinox, however, still excited to have a nice, decent gym in the hood, we so deserve it.  I was told they are taking over the entire 2nd floor of the current space.
