Hello everyone,
I spoke with the parent coordinator at P.S. 69, and she informed us that P.S. 69 will not be having afterschool programs this year.
Therefore, after receiving positive feedback from those of you who attended last week's Open House, and those who wished to attend but couldn't make it last week, 82nd Street Academics has decided to host another Open House at the Jackson Heights Jewish Center (77th Street and 37th Avenue)
The purpose of the event is to arm neighborhood families with information about 82nd Street Academics' new afterschool program at the JH Jewish Center for Kindergarten and 1st grade students from P.S. 69.
Families that came to the event last week got acquainted with the senior staff of 82nd Street Academics, met Ms. Jennifer, the wonderful teacher we're exporting from our main campus, and one lucky parent won a brand new iPod.
We also discussed in-depth the ins and outs of the upcoming program, including all the features: homework completion as a priority, reading activities to promote literacy, dance and drama enrichment, and use of the our new playground at the main campus.
