2011:
• 6-8 live flies were noted in produce dept. Two of them noted landing on work table.
• Approx 45 fresh and old mouse droppings were noted on retail shelves of pet foods.
2012:
• Rotisserie chicken in hot holding unit had an internal temperature of 110°F. Product had been unit for less than 2.0 hrs. Product rapidly reheated to >165°F During inspection.

not too bad.

if those were the violations found, they'd get "A" grades from restaurant inspectors.

i remember the russian roulette of shopping supermarkets on the lower east side in the early '80s. one in particular on avenue b (i lived between c and d, so that was the closest) played this game with pre packaged lunch meat and cheese. when it hit the expiration date, a new price sticker, usually about 20 percent less, went on. one week past the expiration, another 10 percent lowering, and so on. by the time you hit 50 percent off, you were risking an ER visit. i only ever made it to three weeks past.
