Seeking advice - convertible sofabeds
« on: October 12, 2013, 08:47:57 AM »
My son and daughter in law are visiting for Christmas. We need a better pull out bed. The Ikea we have is lumpy and uncomfortable.

Does anyone have any good suggestions?

a suggestion to avoid: bought a lower-end jennifer convertible a few years ago, and the folding mechanism is terrible, making it all but impossible to use on a regular basis. takes two of us to re-fold it to couch form.

I agree with Breezie. American Leather is the name of the company, but they do cloth too. Very comfortable sofabeds. No springs, more like a futon, but it doesn't look like a futon.

Look at Scott Jordan furniture online and in NYC..  We have one and it's really flat and comfortable.

Thanks very much for the advice. I had been thinking of Jennifer but will avoid. Scott Jordan's website is excellent so we're focussing on that.

Thanks again.

American Leather sofabeds are incredible.  I have had mine for eight years and it is as comfortable as ever.  You do get what you pay for though, and it will cost a pretty penny.  The price for a fabric sofabed is around $3,000 for a queen.
