Fire at Our Lady of Sorrows Church

Terrible news: a beloved community institution in Corona, Our Lady of Sorrows Church, was badly damaged by fire a few days ago (DNAinfo, CBS NY).

In 2012 they hosted a community meeting on the proposed stadium in Flushing Meadows park.  I don't think that was the main sanctuary... it was probably the school auditorium.   But it was a great building.

Hopefully the congregation will be able to rebuild soon.
