Calling all Harry Potter fans!
Please join us at this year's Jackson Heights Halloween Parade, where we'll be marching to celebrate the 4th Annual Quidditch World Cup!
Yes, believe it or not, Quidditch has crossed over into the muggle world, and the World Cup will be coming to New York City this November (see
http://www.internationalquidditch.org/worldcup/ for details).
The Jackson Heights Halloween Parade is the second largest Halloween parade in New York City, and one of the largest children's parades held in the city all year. Our group is especially looking for wizards, witches, and monsters from the Harry Potter novels, but fans of all ages are welcome to join us, regardless of costume.
And YES, we will have real live quidditch players marching with us... the
Stony Brook University Quidditch Team! They may even sign autographs if you ask.
We'll be gathering on
89th Street, between 35th and 37th Avenues, on Sunday, October 31st, at 11:30 am. The parade starts at Noon. Just look for the Quidditch World Cup banner!
