The New York Times City Room blog recently reported on the demise of Urbanhound.com, a site dedicated to providing its readers with useful information on owning a dog/dogs in the city.

I'm surprised that a site like Urbanhound.com was unable to subsist given the fact that it was quite unique to dog loving communities.  It will be missed.   :'(

Just FYI to all - Urbanhound.com is back - they got an infusion of $$ or merged with fetchdog.com

Thanks for posting this homeowner!  I happened to check out the Urban Hound site, and it's up and running.  I also followed a link to fedchdog.com because I saw that they're advertising free shipping with no minimum purchase on dog items.  Just in time to pick up some holiday gifts for my pooch!  Thanks again!
