I can't this Sunday (Also, streets might be crowded with the Queens Pride Parade: http://www.queenspride.com/QueensPride09/queenspride09.php). I could go on the 21st.

Sad I couldn't come to this one either - how was it everyone? And was there dessert afterwards?

Hi, ibeans! too bad we missed you. We had an intimate group with lots of conversation and interesting, new, quality food. We all just parted after going to expresso 77 for some of their new ice cream. This was a busy JH Sunday and walking the streets back was as entertaining as any moment of the night.

you know, none of us claim to be connoisseurs of anything, we all just want to meet people, experience new things and explore the neighborhood. That's pretty cool. I hope to meet more people on the same page in the future. .Thinking about tortilleria nixtamal, but is it too far?

No rules!

I went from not knowing Tortilleria Nixtamal existed to hearing three different endorsements within the last 12 hours.  How could we not go?

Agreed.  If we go for lunch, maybe we could also get a peek at the new greenmarket there.
Thanks for another great get-together, Jeff!

Sorry I couldn't make it last night... sounds like it was a nice time. How was the food?

My dish was very good!  I think around the table, it ranged from alright to very good.  I got lucky!  I would come back.

I would definitely come back here, even though I didn't much appreciate what I got (red snapper stew). The ceviche seemed well ceviche'ed. The meat seemed good. nice atmosphere, friendly staff - some language barrier depending on who you talk to. it's definitely a legit place and not hyped up with expanded prices like pio pio.
we tried 2 of the drinks. Chicha Morada and Chicha De Jora. morada was like a purple punch - pretty good. de jora was some fermented corn drink - some gnarly stuff. Couldn't compare the taste to anything other than possibly grapefruit juice.
If I go back, which is very likely, I have no idea what I would order! nice place overall. great company.

missed you, Sue!

Judy K. sent me the pictures she and Justin took, and they have been added to my Facebook album beginning with image number eighty.
