Airplane noise
« on: October 27, 2021, 11:08:43 PM »
I live in lower Jackson Heights and the airplane noise for the past few days has been crazy.  I checked WebTrak and it seems that all arriving flights to LaGuardia are using the same runway/flight pattern.  Flights are coming in low and loud every two to three minutes.  Anyone else notice the increased flight traffic?  Is this normal (I'm new to the neighborhood)??

Might have something to do with the recent weather, but yea I would get used to it - good luck.

Been trying to get the runway info from Port Authority WebTrak but it doesn't seem to have a notification. I guess they're gonna do runway maintenance every weekend? Is that a fact? Kinda sucks.

Is there another web site that lets community folks know when these changes are taking place at LaGuardia? The flights over JH this afternoon have been continual...one right after the other. It would be more tolerable if we knew when or if this was going to end. I'm fairly new here...how do we find out what's going on and when it might stop?

The flight path is over the western border of JH. Planes flying over Northern and 69th st is the norm and has been for a long time.
