Where to throw out cans of paint?

Are there any local places to throw out cans of latex paint? I’m pretty sure my building doesn’t have any receptacles for them and I’d rather not schlep to DSNY’s special drop off at College Point to get rid of them.

I'm not aware of any place to throw them out locally. If they are still full, College Point might be your only option. If there's space, you can put cheap clay cat litter in them and leave the top off to dry out. Once it's all dried out you can throw them out regularly.
