Alert! There's a new Starbucks going into the space where Coral Pet Food was. Looks like construction is happening and the neon sign is up outside.

Would have loved a locally-owned shop to go into that space, but it'll be nice to grab coffee there vs. from Dunkin on the way to the train. (Ideally we'd still have Coral! Loved that place!)

While I am usually against corporate run stores I am happy in this case since we can only hope it starts a revival of this stretch along Roosevelt and the lower 70's in JH.

 Am happy about this too. The corporate heft might be just the thing to help Roosevelt Avenue become a better shopping and dining area and a safer part of our community. Will support them in rotation with other coffee shops that we love here.

Not a fan of their coffee (tastes burnt to me) but I really like their Hot Chocolate so I'm happy.

I do hope this plan survives the Corona quandary.

It may be a long, long time before we can sit in a coffee-shop again.

And I imagine that take-out isn't really going to make ends meet.

not at $10-12,000 per month, it won't. i use that figure because Coral was being asked to pay 20K for a renewal on the full space.

In case anyone is wondering or is looking for work, I actually googled this location just to see if there's any info on opening, etc. and I see that they're hiring. I'm sure they are looking for local talent so thought I'd share

Too bad Starbucks didn't take the Famiglia space. That would have been great for a Starbucks.
