excessive dust in basement at Washington Plaza
« on: April 07, 2020, 09:10:04 PM »
Today they restarted skim coating the basement at the E building. There was dust everywhere when they were dry sanding the plaster.

The building department came and they lied that they were only painting.

Another example of money over safety. They do not care that the dust was coming into the elevator in the middle of a pandemic.

The co-ops are now worthless in the middle of the worst area of the pandemic and all they care about is plastering.

Improvements and renovations take time and make a mess.  You should be wearing a mask when outside your apartment anyway, no?

So it is alright to make dust during a respiratory emergency killing thousands of people?

That really strikes me as bad judgment on behalf of the management -- unless it's a true emergency.
