good to know. i used to go there sometimes when i lived in Astoria back in the very early 90s. the place is clean, the meat is decent, if not great. reliable would be the operative word. and that's good right now.

I'm not sure if it's the same place? This one only delivers products to restaurants. They just switched to this model while so many restaurants are closed. Here is part of the message from the person who originally posted it:

"My uncle owns a small business Meat Market that usually only delivers food to restaurants.  At this time restaurants are closed and grocery stores (at least all the ones by me) have empty shelves! So he is now doing home deliveries in Manhattan, Queens & Long Island City!

Anything you would normally pick up in the grocery store: beef, chicken, pork, lamb - whole, chopped, cutlets, all steak cuts, skewers...anyway you want the meat! Also pasta, rice, spices, crackers and other pantry essentials!"

If you have a thermometer and cook your food thoroughly to the proper temperature, and you clean everything fanatically, it is much safer. If you don't you're better off leaving it to the professionals.
