Original Window Color

Hello,

I am looking to put new windows in my families house on 71st and 33rd ave.  I want the windows to look as close to the original windows as possible.  All the houses on the street currently have white windows which going by the 1940 tax photos is inaccurate.  The windows appear to be either brown or green.  Does anyone know what color the windows were when the houses were new?
