LuVVV this! Can Joe (or anyone else) please provide names for a couple more of the places in the video that weren’t explicitly mentioned (specifically, the East Asian bakery with what looked to be some sorta fresh green and purple, prolly bean paste-filled, maybe rice flour mochi kinda buns — it’s seen around the 0:22-0:24 mark) ? The editing cuts were pretty quick, but those pans of goodies on display looked to-die-for delicious. The neon Mandarin characters read something like: xiao-long tang-bao / nan-bei mian-dian (little dragon soup dumpling / North-South pastry), but I'm guessing that's more what they make than what they call the shop. Thanks!

That was in front of Shanghai You

but I have a feeling that was some sort of special occasion. Maybe a special or a holiday.

Happy to help fill in the blanks otherwise

Right on, Jeff--I was able to get most of the others that interested me, once I figured out how to slow down the video player.

Given the sticky rice packets also in front of Shanghai You, maybe the occasion was part of the Dragon Boat Festival festivities? Then again, given the winter coats in the video, coulda been for Lunar New Year too. I can wait a month or so for the Dragon Boats to sail but can't wait that long again for New Year's, so guess I'll have to finally break out the Mochiko sweet rice flour and learn to make those rice cakes myself ...  :D

Meanwhile, many thanks to you and Joe for showing the world the world in Queens!
